6ix9ine has allegedly resurfaced in Cuba shortly after the brutal beatdown at a Florida LA Fitness that landed him in the hospital last week.
The rainbow-haired rapper was reportedly spotted in Cuba, and earlier this week, video of him hiking up a mountain appeared on social media.
A caption for the viral clip explains that the “GUMMO” rapper has taken his skills south to the discrete location of Pinar del Ro, which is the capital of the same-named province and the tenth-largest city in the nation with a low six-figure population. This is explained in the title of the viral video.
DJ Akademiks reposted the video footage which featured 6ix9ine speaking Spanish while wearing a straw hat of sorts. Fans, however, wasted no time in clowning 6ix9ine for fleeing America following the beating.
“Bro said he need to be far from every hood,” one person wrote while another added. “Bro ran to another country!”
On March 21, a group of men assaulted the Brooklyn rapper (real name Daniel Hernandez) inside a sauna at a LA Fitness in South Florida.
Lance Lazzaro, 6ix9ine’s lawyer, claims that although his client attempted to fight off the attackers, he was severely beaten and outnumbered before he was able to flee. The rapper was not accompanied by security at the time.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene after gym staff heard the ruckus, and 6ix9ine was taken by ambulance to a local hospital.
A video of the assault that was uploaded to Instagram shows 6ix9ine laying on the ground with protecting his head as two men stand over him and punch and kick him.
Several Hip Hop celebrities, including Chief Keef, Jermaine Dupri, Boosie Badazz, and Tekashi’s allies Akademiks and Wack 100, commented on 6ix9ine getting jumped.
Jim Jones merely provided a cryptic statement to TMZ when questioned about the incident, appearing to avoid openly discussing it.
“I don’t know, maybe it was the wrong type of gym,” he said of 6ix9ine’s bloody beatdown while hitting the Milly Rock in front of the camera. “I be working out everyday.”
