A$AP Rocky premiered new music from his upcoming album ‘Don’t Be Dumb’ at Rolling Loud Miami over the weekend, leading some fans to believe he was taking shots at Travis Scott on one of the tracks.

At Rolling Loud Miami, A$AP Rocky delivered his performance on a set of metal stairs, rocking iced-out hair clips in his braids. In one of the songs titled “Taylor Swift,” he called out an unidentified rival, rapping about how he sought revenge by taking their partner as payback for copying his style.

“First you stole my flow, so I stole your bitch/ Then you stole my style, I need at least like 10 percent/ All due disrespect, I hope you take offense,” he raps.

Despite Rocky not mentioning any names in his subliminal shots, fans couldn’t resist speculating that Travis Scott was the one being targeted.

On Twitter, one user claimed, “Travis Scott diss.” “Travis did run with Asap style a couple albums ago.”

Another person on Twitter said “This a nasty travis jab lmaoo.”

For years, there have been rumors of friction between A$AP Rocky and Travis Scott, with claims that Travis borrowed inspiration from Rocky’s drugged-out sound and fashion-forward style.

In 2016, A$AP Mob member A$AP Nast accused Scott of stealing the crew’s swag, a claim that Rocky addressed in a Hot 97 interview that same year. He said, “Let the people decide if he’s a biter or if he’s authentic.”

The “stole your bitch” line in Rocky’s lyrics could potentially be a reference to Travis Scott’s rumored fling with Rihanna in 2015, who is currently expecting her second child with the Harlem rapper.

Some fans speculated that A$AP Rocky’s “Taylor Swift” jabs might have been directed at Chris Brown, who dated Rihanna between 2007 and 2009 before their relationship ended due to a violent attack. Rocky had previously appeared to diss Chris Brown on his 2022 single “D.M.B.,” with lyrics that stated, “I don’t beat my bitch, I need my bitch.”

There were also some who believed that Rocky’s jabs might have been aimed at Drake, who has made no secret of his crush on Rihanna in the past. At the 2016 MTV VMAs, while presenting her with the Video Vanguard Award, Drake openly admitted, “She’s someone I’ve been in love with since I was 22 years old.”

When Rihanna announced that she was expecting her first child with A$AP Rocky last year, Drake didn’t appear to take the news well as he unfollowed both artists on Instagram.

Last week, A$AP Rocky resumed the rollout for “Don’t Be Dumb” by releasing a new single titled “RIOT (Rowdy Pipe’n).” The track was co-produced by Rocky himself and Pharrell.

A$AP Rocky also released “RIOT (Rowdy Pipe’n),” along with the aforementioned track “D.M.B.” and January’s “Same Problems?” which featured contributions from Lil Yachty, Miguel and Thundercat.

As of now, the release date for the album “Don’t Be Dumb” has not been announced.
