Akademiks still has doubts about Tory Lanez shooting Megan Thee Stallion, even though a grand jury found him guilty.
During a recent conversation with DJ Vlad, Akademiks discussed the case in depth and openly shared his reservations about Tory Lanez being the one who pulled the trigger on the night of July 2020.
“Shit I thought he didn’t do it. I still kinda — I’m a little doubtful, but the verdict is the verdict. I think the people who were reporting at court at that time we’re biased based on what they already [thought],” AK told Vlad.
However, Akademiks further explained that he didn’t believe Tory Lanez’s last-ditch effort for a retrial would be successful either.
Tory Lanez (real name is Daystar Peterson), has been behind bars without bond since being found guilty of first-degree assault with a firearm on December 23 following a high-profile two-week trial in Los Angeles.
Tory is currently facing a maximum sentence of 22 years and eight months in prison, along with the possibility of deportation to his native Canada.
