Ariana Grande has come up with a pretty lovely way to honor her late ex-boyfriend Mac Miller and the 10th anniversary of their 2013 hit song “The Way.”

It’s been almost ten years since Ariana Grande made an impression on the music industry with “The Way,” the first single from her first album Yours Truly, which features Mac Miller. In honor of the music video’s tenth anniversary, an Ariana Grande fan account (@honeymoonavenue) published a portion of it on Sunday, March 26.

The “Positions” singer re-posted the video to her Instagram stories and captioned it, “I love you.” The singer decided to reaffirm her emotions after reposting the video, even going so far as to leave a comment on the post, writing again, “I love you.”

“The Way” by Grande and Miller reached the Billboard Hot 100’s top 10 after its release. It was eventually certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The Pittsburgh native and Grande dated from September 2016 until May 2018. Shortly after they split, news broke that the singer had started dating comedian Pete Davidson, and later got engaged.

Mac Miller passed away from an accidental overdose around the same time in 2018. He was only 26 years old.

The high-profile engagement between Grande and Davidson came to an end soon after, and Ariana was left to mourn the loss. The singer wed Dalton Gomez, a luxury real estate agent, in 2021.
