Gunna has opened up about some of his innermost thoughts on a new song snippet that was released by a close friend of his on an Instagram story that has now expired.

Gunna’s friend Brittany Reshun uploaded a snippet of the song on Instagram, and it includes Gunna’s all-too-familiar harmonizing tone. Gunna’s brief lyrics were accompanied by lush production as well.

“Heard the rumors said I’m packing up and flying out/We ain’t going nowhere I’m staying here, gone fight it out/I meant like f**k it/Let’s just give these n***as dark clouds/Been gone for months And I just keep seeing these dark clouds,” Gunna raps.

After his release from prison following his plea to a racketeering conspiracy charge at a hearing in December 2022, Gunna’s name has remained connected to snitching. He was detained in May 2022 as part of the broad YSL indictment against Young Thug and his label, and his initial sentence was five years with one year served in prison.

Boosie recently went on VLAD TV and expressed his disgust for him after court footage of Gunna conversing with the judge during his hearing surfaced.

“They should remix his shit, ‘Yes ma’am.’ I been waiting on a song,” Boosie said of Gunna’s tone during the hearing. “Man these n-ggas answering with respect! They rattin’ with respect! We don’t even tell our elders ‘Yes ma’am’ like that no more. You don’t hear people saying ‘Yes ma’am’ like they usually do. But you tell a fuckin’ prosecutor, ‘Yes ma’am.’ That made it even worse. You put mayonnaise on the fuckin’ sandwich.”

According to Akademiks, rumors regarding Gunna preparing to leave YSL to get a new contract first circulated in February.

“The label side, a lot of people believe that Gunna is going to be seeking to leave YSL just because the relationship is fractured,” Ak explained.

“It’s just no way you go through this and come out on the other side where one guy is apparently looking at decades in jail and you came out in six months with a bad bitch. It’s probably not gonna work.”

Young Thug is currently awaiting the jury’s selection for his next RICO trial, which is set to begin in a month. It’s expected that the trial would last for at least six to nine months.
