Kendrick Lamar is finalizing the purchase of a penthouse in New York City, extending his residency from coast to coast.

As per a report by the New York Post on Tuesday (August 22), K-Dot is getting closer to making a choice after visiting condos around the city in the past few weeks. He’s now interested in a unit at Pierhouse in Brooklyn Bridge Park.

The residence at 90 Furman Street is available for $8.99 million, featuring glass walls, 18-foot ceilings, and a chef’s kitchen.

At the beginning of this month, Kendrick was seen visiting houses in Brooklyn Heights. One of the places he was looking at was a penthouse priced at $9.85 million, which has four bedrooms. The Quay Tower is also where actress Zendaya has a unit.

The apartment at 50 Bridge Park that K-Dot and his friends were looking at measures 3,533 square feet and includes a private elevator. It features floor-to-ceiling windows offering views of some of New York City’s most breathtaking sights. The building also offers various amenities, including a rooftop lounge and gym, among other things.

While his team has not provided any comments on the matter, there is a possibility that the 36-year-old rapper is now fulfilling his statement from a decade ago in the song “Control,” where he claimed to be the “king of New York.”
