Lil Durk has canceled several upcoming tour dates and has also decided to withdraw from Rolling Loud Miami due to health-related issues.
Durk announced on Tuesday (July 18) that he’s backing out of his lucrative headlining slot at Rolling Loud this weekend. Billboard also reported that 24 dates on his Sorry For the Drought Tour have been canceled, leaving just five remaining shows on the schedule.
Earlier this month, Durkio had to check himself into an Ohio hospital because of severe dehydration issues. He underwent a week of rehabilitation to recover. He was also unable to attend the 2023 ESPY Awards.
Durk informed Akademiks through a statement: “Since I’m still awaiting to get full clearance from my doctors to travel and perform again, I have no other choice but to cancel my headlining Rolling Loud performance.”
“While I’m home resting, I am looking forward to my two homecoming shows on the 11th & 12th in Chicago. For the rest of the country, I’ll be announcing new dates soon. #StillHealing.”
Lil Durk was scheduled to hit the road later this month for the Sorry For The Drought Tour alongside Kodak Black, NLE Choppa and DD Osama, but unfortunately, won’t be taking place as planned.
Despite the cancellation of the Sorry For The Drought Tour, Lil Durk has exciting news for his fans in Chicago. He will be returning to the stage for a pair of headlining shows in his hometown arena at Chicago’s United Center on August 11 and August 12. He will be the first Chi-Town rapper to do so since Kanye West.
