NBA YoungBoy is facing lawsuit after a young woman claimed she was severely injured after she was thrown off stage during one of his shows.
A woman is suing the “Fresh Prince Of Utah” rapper for injuries she claims she suffered when she was thrown from the stage during a 2019 concert in north St. Louis County, according to STLToday.
NBA YoungBoy was performing at The Ambassador music venue when Cayden Rutherford got on stage. Although, Youngboy was not directly involved in the incident, an unspecified person working on the show threw Rutherford from the stage as he was performing, when she landed on the concrete floor and a broken cable, the lawsuit, alleges.
Rutherford allegedly had neck, back, and ankle injuries in addition to a concussion, all of which continue to cause her daily pain and suffering, according to the lawsuit, which was filed on Thursday, June 1 in St. Louis County Circuit Court.
Rutherford’s attorney, Brad Elkin of Cofman Townsley, claims that NBA Youngboy’s history of fight with fans — notably at performances in Minnesota, Virginia and South Carolina — indicate a pattern that should have alerted The Ambassador, Major Entertainment LLC, and a security company called Elite Security to step up the level of security. But, they failed to do so.
Rutherford is also asking for money damages from the rapper, the venue, the promoter, and the security company.
NBA YoungBoy has not yet responded to the suit.
