Nicki Minaj has returned with her first single of 2023, with the “Red Ruby Da Sleeze” which features a sample from Lumidee, now available on streaming services.

The Queens icon adds hard-hitting lyrics to the Go Grizzly, Tate Kobang, and Cheeze Beatz tune, in which we can hear her defend her husband’s shady past and tells everyone they could never live a day in her shoes.

“Married a shooter case you n-ggas tried to breathe loud/ Boom your face off, then I tell him, ‘Cease fire’/ I’m the AB side,” she raps.

Some fans believe the next pair of bars out of Nicki’s latest alter-ego are subliminal shots aimed in the direction of Megan Thee Stallion: “Seven-hundred on ’em horses when we fixin’ to leave/ But I don’t fuck with horses since Christopher Reeve.”

A fan chimed in on Twitter: “yall was gagging over all them latto and megan lines but now that nicki returning the same energy yall crying and having mental breakdowns tighten up. this is what rap is.”

Many celebrities, like BIA, Lola Brooke, LaLa Anthony, Lil Dicky, Dreezy, and others, left tons of compliments on Nicki’s Instagram comment area.

Minaj effortlessly rides the nostalgic “Never Leave You” sample, which helped Lumidee score a No. 3 peak on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2003.

The 40-year-old mother of one, who was named the 10th greatest rapper on Billboard’s Top 50 all-time list, has announced the return of her explosive Queen Radio show, which made its Amazon debut on Friday (March 3) at 7 p.m. ET.

Nicki’s most recent performance on “Shake The Place (Remix)” by Trinidadian musicians Machel Montano and Destra was followed by the new song, which rose immediately to the top of the U.S. iTunes list.
