Nipsey Hussle, the renowned rap icon and street legend, takes center stage in the debut episode of “Behind the Crime,” a gripping series that delves deep into high-profile criminal cases. In collaboration with Fox’s Tubi and Dan Abrams’ Law & Crime, this show offers viewers unfiltered access to real case footage while dissecting the inner workings of the justice system.

The premiere episode, released on September 20, chronicles the 2019 killing of the LA native. Nipsey Hussle’s killer, Eric Holder Jr., received a life sentence of 60 years in February after being convicted for fatally shooting the rapper. The tragic incident unfolded outside Nipsey’s South L.A. clothing store, following a brief exchange where Nipsey accused Holder of being a snitch. Holder, consumed by anger, returned with firearms, firing at least 10 shots and ending Nipsey’s life.

Nipsey left behind a loving family, including his partner Lauren London and their six-year-old son, Kross, who was born three years into their relationship. He is also survived by his 13-year-old daughter, Emani, from a previous relationship.

Reflecting on the loss of her beloved partner earlier this year, London shared her journey of healing with People. She emphasized that healing isn’t a linear path; it’s filled with ups and downs. She expressed her determination to wake up each day with intention, acknowledging that some days are harder than others.

“Honoring the day you blessed the Earth with your presence. Forever more,” London wrote. “I love you.”
