NLE Choppa and his on-again, off-again girlfriend Marissa Da’Nae have joyfully welcomed their second child into the world.

On Wednesday, August 16, the Memphis rapper announced the birth of his son, ChoZen Wone Da’Shun Potts, via an Instagram post. However, his enthusiasm might have led him to overshare, as he posted behind-the-scenes footage from the childbirth.

Choppa shared videos of him playfully goofing around, capturing moments where Da’Nae was feeling unwell and showing him pretending to take on the role of delivering the baby. He also showcased his humorous side by using an aging face filter to impersonate a disgruntled old man.

The 20-year-old also shared sweet photos of him holding his newborn son and the baby clasping his finger.

“The Best Gift God Has Given This Year, Excuse My Humor She Was In Pain So I Had To Be A Comedian LOL. ALL PRAISE TO THE MOST,” Choppa wrote in the caption.

Later, Choppa jumped into The Shade Room‘s Instagram comments explain the meaning behind his son’s name, writing: “Chozen Wone. ZEN- Zenful Energy From The Divine, Won- he already won at life, One- the chosen one.

“Da’Shun- My middle name Lashun, Marissa’s Is Da’Nae. His name unique to us all that really matter but it’s a reason why his name is that way. We come out the womb different!”

Chozen is the second child of NLE Choppa and Marissa Da’Nae, joining their family. The rapper also has a daughter with his former partner, Mariah.

Before the arrival of Chozen, Choppa and Da’Nae experienced a heartbreaking miscarriage, leading to the loss of a child in March 2022.

NLE Choppa doesn’t have any intentions of slowing down in terms of expanding his family, as he revealed to VladTV last year that he aspires to have a total of 10 children.

“I want to have 10 kids for sure,” he said. “You gotta know what you want out of it… I’m pretty sure Nick [Cannon] got a purpose with every nut he busts.”
