Rihanna and A$AP Rocky has finally revealed their son’s name as his first birthday approaches. His name is believed to be inspired by the legendary hip-hop group Wu-Tang Clan.

According to reports, The Daily Mail obtained exclusive access to the birth certificate of the baby on May 10, revealing his given name as RZA Athelston Mayers. The document further disclosed that he was delivered at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, precisely on May 13 at 10:58 a.m.

As Rocky previously revealed, being named after legendary Hip Hop artists runs in the family. Rocky was named after the rapper Rakim.

The family of Rihanna and Rocky will soon welcome a new member. Although though a due date hasn’t been made public, the Bajan superstar was sporting a substantial bump when she performed at the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show in February – which would mean she was already a few months along.

Rihanna has talked openly about her experiences as an early mother in an interview with British Vogue for her cover story.

“Oh my God, it’s legendary,” she said of her first nine months as a mother. “It’s everything. You really don’t remember life before, that’s the craziest thing ever.

She continued: “You literally try to remember it – and there are photos of my life before – but the feeling, the desires, the things that you enjoy, everything, you just don’t identify with it because you don’t even allow yourself mentally to get that far because…because it doesn’t matter.”

She also discussed her relationship with Rocky.

“We’re best friends with a baby,” Rih said. “We have to be on the same page, but we’ve always kind of had that in our relationship. Everything changes when you have a baby but I wouldn’t say it’s done anything but made us closer.”

“I’m just sitting on the sidelines when they’re together,” she added of Rocky’s adjustment to fatherhood. “I’m literally the girl trying to get into the boys club, waiting for my turn. He is obsessed with his father. And I’m like: ‘Didn’t I give birth to you? What is going on?’

“Their connection is undeniable. The second Rocky makes eye contact with him he is on fire. The whole thing they say about sons and moms, it’s a myth. Sons and fathers is crazy. I realized that the validation that you really need as a boy is from your father.”
