Mark your calendars because the highly-anticipated Blade movie is scheduled for release on February 14, 2025.

Mahershala Ali is set to assume the lead role of Blade, taking over from Wesley Snipes. Joining him in the cast are talented actors such as Mia Goth, Aaron Pierre, and Delroy Lindo, making this film a star-studded affair.

Ali said he “kept hearing they were trying to find a way to remake” Blade and specifically asked to be considered for the movie.

“Since they were having conversations about bringing it back into being, I just wanted to be considered for it because I had definitely a connection, at least in my mind, to Wesley Snipes going back to high school,” he said on the Tight Rope podcast in 2020.

“People used to joke and say that we looked alike and all this stuff. I just brought it up as someone who really wanted to take on that role and tackle that.”

Travis Scott is no stranger to lending his musical talent to Marvel films. He previously collaborated with Kendrick Lamar on the track “Big Shot,” featured in “Black Panther: The Album,” a project curated by Top Dawg Entertainment.

Scott’s affection for the Marvel Cinematic Universe is well-known. In 2019, he marked his 28th birthday by donning an Iron Man costume at an Avengers: Endgame-themed party, showcasing his genuine enthusiasm for the superhero franchise.

Adding to the Marvel-themed celebration, Travis Scott’s ex-girlfriend and the mother of his children, Kylie Jenner, also joined in the fun by dressing up as Captain Marvel.
