Usher has finally shared his perspective on the Keke Palmer and Darius Jackson relationship drama that garnered significant attention over the Fourth of July weekend.
The situation unfolded when Keke attended Usher’s Las Vegas residency and became a bit too comfortable during his performance of the song ‘There Goes My Baby.’
Usher, who recently finished his first Vegas residency, sat down with PEOPLE on Friday, August 4th, to discuss matters of the heart. He reflected on the incident and mentioned that it sparked a larger conversation.
“I think everybody’s vision or a version of what they felt happened there just leads you back to just really having a good time in Las Vegas,” he said. “And that’s what I hope came out of it. Rather, it was a conversation of what was going on with us having fun in front of the audience or conversation about that song.”
He continued: “Every night I’m thinking about how the world now is going to react to this moment that I’ll have with whoever I’m choosing to sing to. But it was a pop moment, and it was fun to have at least conversation going and we just keep it light. I don’t see anything negative happening in Las Vegas.”
Keke had an unforgettable night at the R&B legend’s Las Vegas residency on July 4th. During the event, Usher serenaded her with a performance of “There Goes My Baby.”
As the footage quickly went viral on social media, Jackson took to Twitter to share his not-so-impressed reaction to his girlfriend’s wardrobe choice.
Only a few days later, Jackson deleted all the images of himself and Palmer together from his Instagram account. However, pictures of Jackson with the child he has with Palmer are still present.
Soon after, it emerged that Jackson and Palmer had unfollowed each other on social media, indicating a potential breakup. Additionally, reports surfaced suggesting that Jackson had allegedly been sending direct messages to other women.
